Chance to win a new van with Grant

Simply return a copy of a paid invoice and boiler serial number to the service department at Grant Engineering to enter this great competition. Closing date is June 30, 2017 and you can enter as many times as you like!

This is just one of the many ways that Grant connects with customers. The leading boiler manufacturer is synonymous with excellent standards for boiler installations, and a large proportion of this credibility comes from the support provided by Grant’s state-of-the-art Training Academy.

Committed to cultivating the knowledge and skills of industry professionals who install Grant products, the purpose-built Training Academy incorporates a lecture room, practical solar training area, product training laboratory and refreshment facilities. Grant offers a range of free courses at the academy for installers, service engineers, plumbers, merchants, architects, local authorities and BER assessors.

Each training session is taken by an engineering expert from the Grant team who possess a wealth of practical technical knowledge and installation practice. Based at the company’s Ireland headquarters in Birr, County Offaly, the Grant team assist hundreds of keen installers each year to journey to the plant to undertake what Grant considers to be imperative training.

Keith Scully, Technical Representative and trainer at Grant, said, “It is futile for our company to manufacture our selection of innovative, reliable boilers if they are not installed or serviced correctly for the end-user. Not all boilers are the same, and while our range is one of the easiest to fit and maintain, Grant believes it is only good working practice that installers undertake the necessary training for each model we provide. This helps avoid customer dissatisfaction and keeps both the engineer’s and Grant’s reputation for reliability intact.”

COURSES
Grant offers bespoke training courses for each of its models. The condensing oil boiler training for products such as the Vortex Blue Max covers the mechanics of the boiler, boiler efficiencies, building regulations, flues, combis and the significance of the boiler passport. Meanwhile, renewable models like the condensing wood pellet boiler for the Grant Spira highlight the features of the product, the basics of wood pellet boilers, installation, servicing and fault finding, and review and assessment.

The thorough Grant Solar Thermal Hot Water System course not only discusses system installation and commissioning, but also enhances business potential for delegates by teaching key points on the energy advantages and cost-savings of solar.

Coinciding with the recent expansion of the company’s product range, Grant will soon be offering training courses for the new innovative Grant VortexAir Oil Boiler Heat Pump Hybrid. Equipping plumbers and installers with the expertise to fit and maintain the dual heat source system, those enrolled at the training academy can receive training on the Vortex Blue Max and the Aerona³ inverter driven air source heat pump both as independent appliances and as a combined unit.
