Now known as Irwin M&E Limited, the company has officially launched a mechanical division that will build on its growing success in this area.
Richard Megarity, Operations Director at Irwin M&E, explained, “This was a logical next step for us and we are now offering mechanical services alongside our established expertise in the electrical and integrated FM sectors. Both in terms of new build and maintenance contracts, the industry is now moving towards a more integrated approach with regards to M&E, so it is important that we are now able to react to this demand.
“We have already completed a number of mechanical contracts, including the Cadogan Place Apartments in London, the award-winning 5G Innovation Centre for the University of Surrey; and 4-5 Park Place, London, while we are two years into the Education Authority Western Region M&E term service contract, so we have a proven track record.”
Heading up the new mechanical division at Irwin M&E is Glenn Coburn, Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager, who has been appointed recently alongside a number of new mechanical personnel.
“I am really looking forward to the new challenge at Irwin M&E,” said Glenn. “The company’s past success in the mechanical sector has provided us with a solid foundation to build on and we are already very busy, which is a great sign.”
The mechanical division will enhance an already impressive service from Irwin M&E, which now includes mechanical and electrical installations for new build and restoration/refurbishment projects alongside maintenance and compliance testing services. Irwin M&E Limited has also integrated BIM into its services and has combined this with the latest 3D software and CAD technology.
The company prides itself on building strong relationships with clients and, according to Managing Director, Keith Stewart, that will continue.
“In the electrical sector we are known for going the extra mile and that will continue with our mechanical services,” he said. “It is that personal touch sets us aside. We are competitive on price and we provide high quality services, but we also think long-term to ensure we are in a prime position to look ahead confidently.”

To coincide with the company’s 20th anniversary and the launch of the new mechanical division, Irwin M&E has unveiled a new website.
“As we secure more work outside Northern Ireland it is important that we get our corporate message out there and the easiest way to do this is via our website,” explained Keith Stewart, Managing Director. “It coincides with the unveiling of our new name and logo and provides an insight into our company and our projects.”
