“We have a great team here and everyone plays to their strengths,” explained Tom, who was formerly the Assistant Branch Manager at Plumb Center in Craigavon. “I started in June and it has been a successful few months – and is only set to get busier as we move into the heating season.
“With Aidan, who has been working at the branch since last November, and Chris, starting in April, it has been a case of us all finding our feet together. Jimmy has been keeping us right, and with such a strong team we’re all focused on looking after our customers.”
Tom added, “Service is key to everything we do. PTS is a strong company with a superb product portfolio and competitive prices, but service is where you make the big difference, and that is why it is so important.
“We have a mixed range of customers, including a lot of cross-border work, but with the variety of products we have and strong stocks in place at the branch, we are con dent we can complete orders successfully.”

The service mantra is one that is repeated by Jonny Taggart – the new PTS Sales Representative covering Newry and Derry. Jonny has been in the trade for almost
20 years, working in bathrooms and tiles showrooms and he has quickly found his feet in the plumbing and heating sector. “It is very different and has been a steep learning curve, but at PTS we have the systems and people in place to ensure we can meet customer demands,” he said. “I’m familiar with the trade and have been adding to my knowledge by learning as much as I can about the oil, gas and renewables sectors.
“We have such a strong relationship with our manufacturers that technical questions can be answered quickly. We also have a lot of expert and experienced people at PTS. It’s a team effort and my focus is on helping customers as much as I can.
“I really enjoy my role and as well as domestic customers I also deal with the commercial side of the industry too. We have a great product range and are highly competitive on pricing, but great service is key, no matter what business you’re in, and that is something I feel is an essential part of my job.”
