Worcester Bosch has recently completed the company’s first installation of Greenstar Heat Interface Units (HIUs) in Northern Ireland.
Installed by Mooney Mechanical Installations, the Greenstar HIUs are an integral part of the heating and hot water system at The Gallery, an exciting new development of 52 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom contemporary apartments designed for city living in the heart of Belfast.
They have worked perfectly at The Gallery, which has nine floors of modern, New York/Tokyo inspired living set above a 4,000sqft ground floor space will be occupied by a café-bar with six-metre high floor to ceiling windows and an outdoor seating area.
Located on the busy Dublin Road in the heart of the city, The Gallery provides a contemporary living aesthetic accented by clean lines, reflective surfaces to maximise light with clever functional layout and design integrating services and storage.
The architect’s desire to create clean lines is one of the reasons why the Greenstar HIU range was selected, with the range offering the perfect balance between aesthetics and usability.
From an aesthetics point of view, the Greenstar HIUs avoid the requirement of a flue having to be installed in every apartment, meaning a cleaner exterior finish to the building. It also offers more design freedom internally, with only one central flue system to contend with.
INSTALLATION
The system has also been designed to be simple to install while the end user enjoys the same level of control they would expect from any gas or oil-fired heating system.
Finally, Greeenstar HIUs make life easier for the landlord. The system provides accurate usage readings from a monitor in the plantroom that allows the landlord to bill tenants for their individual usage.
