The Daikin Ireland Showroom: A showcase of innovation and sustainability

Daikin, a renowned leader in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry, showcases their innovative showroom and training room. These offerings serve as a testament to Daikin’s commitment to providing innovative and sustainable solutions for the Irish market. In this article, we will explore the significance of Daikin Ireland’s showroom and how it aims to support the way installers, architects and merchants develop their knowledge on Daikin heating and cooling systems.

A showcase of cutting-edge technology

The new Daikin Ireland showroom serves as a platform to display the latest advancements in HVAC technology, including the full range of air-to-water and air-to-air heat pumps for residential new build and retrofit markets. This covers Daikin Altherma 3 R-32 refrigerant split, Monobloc and high-temperature hydro split. Also showcased is the air to air Multi + system which includes a domestic hot water cylinder. The showroom offers a comprehensive overview of the cutting-edge solutions available to homeowners, businesses, and industries.

Enhanced customer experience

The showroom is designed with the customer in mind, providing an immersive and interactive experience. Knowledgeable staff members are on hand to guide visitors through the various products and explain their benefits. Customers can witness the performance and efficiency of different working models, including a number of heat pump systems. Our clients can see the wall-hung and floor-standing units connected to our refrigerant split systems and a working monobloc with a separate tank, plus the full range of outdoor units. This hands-on approach empowers installers to guide their clients to make informed decisions about their heating requirements.

Product support, including pre and after-sales services, is the cornerstone of Daikin’s business model, and the training facility in Citywest holds regular installer and sales training sessions. Daikin Ireland also provides CPD training via webinars if visiting the showroom is not an option. They are also taking the next step in hiring a full-time trainer to fully manage and deliver training sessions in the facility.

Additionally, Daikin Ireland can provide installer training in a number of sustainability centres which can be found in local merchants nationwide. These centres provide an opportunity for homeowners and installers to view the product and increase their knowledge of the benefits of heat pumps.

Continuous expansion

The Irish office staff has grown significantly in the past 18 months and includes pre-sales, sales, engineering, marketing, accounts and after-sales teams. The latest appointments at Daikin Ireland are Marketing Coordinator Sarah O’Loughlin and Consulting Sales Engineer Juliana Beltran Torres. There are also plans to appoint three more people for the sales team in the coming months.

Plans for 2023 include opening a Sales Office in Cork and a sizable investment in marketing with a focus on brand awareness. This campaign will include marketing towards the end-user to help develop the retrofit market, as well as further developing sustainability centres and training centres at merchant branches.

Expansion plans are also happening worldwide. Daikin Europe is building a 300-million-euro plant in Poland that should be ready in 2024 and will focus specifically on manufacturing. Daikin Europe is also investing €140 million in a 4000m² new building consisting of test facilities and office space, which will be among the most advanced of their type worldwide. This facility is being built in Ghent, Belgium, and will be completed in 2024, employing more than 350 R&D engineers working on low-carbon heating technologies.

Daikin Ireland’s showroom is a useful tool for installers and merchants in the HVAC industry. With its focus on cutting-edge technology, enhanced customer experience, sustainability and collaboration, the showroom represents Daikin’s dedication to delivering top-of-the-line heating and cooling solutions. As Ireland moves towards a greener future, Daikin’s showroom stands as a beacon of innovation and inspiration, shaping the way the company perceives and utilises HVAC systems.
