Jaguar and Land Rover put their trust in Pipelife

The new Johnson and Perrott Motor Group recently acquired 4.3 acres of land on the Bandon Road in Bishopstown in County Cork, the site of the former Uponor factory which closed in 2003. The company’s new 14 car showroom includes a dedicated car handover area and state-of-the-art workshop facilities for its dual Jaguar-Land Rover franchise, along with an eight car showroom and workshop facilities for its Volvo franchise. Work is well underway, with the new garage due to open by the middle of the year.

Pipelife is supplying the underfloor heating requirements for this modern showroom. In all, there were 920m2 of underfloor heating pipe laid across the showroom floors with a 70mm screed. Underfloor heating was considered the natural choice for this as it provided a significantly more cost-effective solution than the usual traditional heating systems.

Under floor heating is a particularly effective method of heating large floor areas like this with elevated ceiling heights. In addition, it is both invisible and quiet and can suit buildings where aesthetics and noise are an issue. Pipelife’s UFH system provided this new state-of-the-art showroom with a life-long, virtually maintenance-free solution to heating. The rm is Ireland’s leading manufacturer of underfloor heating systems which include the Qual-Pex Barrier Pipe, the country’s number one heating and plumbing pipe with more approvals than any other pipe on the market.

Pipelife’s in-house engineers can provide detailed plans for the application of renewable technologies specific to individual projects, from domestic to commercial. These include full heat loss calculations, energy saving estimates, plus a complete product and accessory specification. For the past 45 years, Pipelife has been supplying the plumbing industry with its quality and durable products. The financial strength of being part of a leading multinational group assures customers that the Pipelife system they have chosen will be fully supported. As an added reassurance, Pipelife accepts full responsibility for the design of the system along with the specification and supply of materials.

Full design indemnity and product liability insurance also give customers peace of mind when choosing Pipelife products. They can be certain that they have opted for quality products, reliable systems and an after-sales commitment that other operators cannot compete with.
