Heat Merchants’ latest addition to its commercial offering is the extensive Bosch commercial heating range.

Since its establishment in 1895, Bosch Commercial has completed over 115,000 projects in more than 140 countries, and is now established as one of the world’s leading manufacturers of heating products, specialising in providing complete system solutions for the commercial and industrial heating sectors with individual outputs from 50kW to 38,000kW.

Heat Merchants now offers the full range of commercial products in addition to technical support and specification service.

“Bosch Commercial is a market-leading brand around the world and we are delighted to have been selected as supply partner for its extensive commercial heating range. Our technical design team is available to assist heating engineers with specification and product selection for any commercial application,” said Alan Hogan, Managing Director at Heat Merchants Group.

One of the core ranges offered by Heat Merchants is the Bosch GB162, a market-leading range of gas-fired boilers with 50, 65, 80 and 100kW outputs. The 50kW is a recent introduction and offers even more installation flexibility for heating engineers, bridging the gap between domestic boilers and the current light commercial range.

The GB162 50kW boiler is suited to both large-scale domestic installations and light commercial applications. With net efficiencies of up to 110% and NOx emissions of less than 40mg/kWh, the GB162 range provides clean, low-carbon heating and hot water, and can also be installed in a cascade arrangement up to 800kW, with the ability to modulate down to as little as 2.5% of the total output.

Vote of confidence

Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charlie Flanagan was delighted to meet with local plumbing trade professionals, following an invitation to visit the Heat Merchants new branch in Portlaoise’s Clonminam Industrial Estate recently.

This brings the number of branches to 44, with 256 people employed across the country. The group has added 30 jobs over the past three years and has a steady expansion pipeline that will see the addition of 40 new jobs over the next three years. The opening is a clear vote of confidence in the future of the construction industry and in the potential growth of this sector in Portlaoise and the midlands after some difficult years.

Speaking after the visit, Minister Flanagan stated, “I would like to thank the Heat Merchant team for extending an invitation for me to visit your shop. It is indeed a very impressive outfit and I am delighted that the Heat Merchants Group chose Portlaoise as a location for their new shop. I would like to take this opportunity to wish the management and staff the best in the coming years.”

Commenting on the new branch, Managing Director, Alan Hogan, said, “We are delighted to be in a position to expand our business following some difficult years in the construction industry. The opening of our Portlaoise branch represents a new phase for the company and is an expression of our confidence in the future of the sector.”
