Navan-based Greenline Plumbing Supplies quickly established itself as the leading heating and plumbing supplier in Co. Meath when it opened its doors in 2017, and has continued to grow despite the uncertainties that Brexit and Covid-19 lockdowns have thrown at the industry.

Greenline Plumbing Supplies was born out of the idea that customer service and product quality are the two most important factors in gaining repeat business. Delivering customer satisfaction along with great prices, the dream team has proved this to be an unbeatable combination. Customer service is highly prioritised at Greenline. All members of staff are trained extensively on all products and are on hand to answer every customer query.

Manager, Ray Purfield, explained why the company focuses so intently on its service, “Plumbers like to come in here because we know what we’re talking about. One of our staff members is a qualified plumber; he knows exactly what plumbers are after and the type of information they need.

“Donal, my right-hand man, works on the counter and is also very knowledgeable. All members of staff attend training courses every year, which means that when a plumber rings us with a question, we know how to help them.”

They’re extending that depth of knowledge and advice further by providing heat pump installer training at their newly opened training centre. Situated next door to the plumbing supplies store, the centre runs free courses on Samsung and Daikin heat pump products. “It’s an extra service for our customers, one that we hope helps them extend their knowledge base in this rapidly expanding sector of the heating market,” said Ray.

TWO BRANCHES
Greenline Plumbing Supplies started with just two staff and one van at the Navan store; that’s grown to eight staff, three vans and a jeep. In January 2020, they opened a second branch in Cavan, managed by industry veteran Liam Sheridan and two other staff members: Padraig Sheridan at the sales counter and Alan Cusack in the stores.

Cavan has gone from strength to strength, regardless of the Covid-19 and Brexit uncertainties. During one of the lockdowns, the branch carried out a complete refurbishment of the upstairs bathroom showroom. With a new layout and on trend styling, they are truly making an impact.

Whatever your order may be, a bag of fittings delivered to site on schedule or the larger task of designing whole heating or renewable energy systems, Greenline Plumbing Supplies provides a quick turnaround for any project, large or small.

Both branches can cater for any situation whether it be a housing scheme, apartment block, sanitary ware, rubber rings for taps, gas/oil boilers, heat pumps, solar panels or just general advice. They have a wealth of knowledge gained through years of experience in the hardware and plumbing and heating trade.

Contributing to Greenline’s growth are the many leading manufacturers that Greenline stocks, which are already well used, liked and represented across many projects in Ireland and further afield. For their plumbing department, brands like DeWalt, Milwaukee, REMS, Makita and Bosch are all proudly on display in store.

Additionally, the company supplies boilers from Grant, Firebird, Worcester, Viessmann and Idealogic and also sanitary ware from Sonas Bathrooms, RT Large, Tavistock, Mylife.
For their heating department, Greenline supplies a broad range of radiators, cylinders, pumps, booster pumps and expansion vessels; water heaters, underfloor heating systems and the latest heating controls are all available.

With the future of Greenline looking increasingly brighter with every milestone event, Ray expressed his gratitude to those who have supported the company. “We have a huge amount of repeat business, which is always a good sign. We’re attracting new customers every day and that’s thanks to word of mouth and recommendations from existing customers.”

Ray is also full of praise for his Navan team, who have made Greenline’s success a possibility; Donal Reilly, Assistant Manager; Alan Keating, sales;James Carroll, driving; Carol Hardiman, accounts; Janet Collier, social media and office and David Hyland, stores.
Conveniently located just off the M3 motorway, clients on their way to projects are able to easily collect their orders from the Navan store in the morning. Greenline is open from 7am until 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am until 1pm on Saturdays, ready to greet any client with expert advice and an award-winning smile.

Drop in to either of the Navan or Cavan stores on July 23, and celebrate the special occasion by tucking into some breakfast treats and catching up with the Greenline crew.
