The legislation promotes the use of OFTEC-registered technicians to provide safety checks on oil and solid fuelled appliances. Local Councils are advising that they are having difficulty in recruiting technicians in their area who can carry out the required inspection on solid fuel installations.
If you hold a recognised accreditation for solid fuel or are interested in getting accredited for this scope contact OFTEC urgently. We have details of Councils actively looking for firms to undertake these inspections.
Remember, the first year’s solid fuel registration is completely free for technicians based in NI or RoI as a special introductory offer and it only costs £50/€65pa thereafter.
